Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament for Mega Drive

Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament for Mega Drive: An Overview

Top-down racers were by no means a new idea at the time, but Codemasters took on the task of not only making something novel of the concept, but also proving that licensed games don’t have to be bad- and the original Micro Machines game succeeded on both fronts, with unconventional course designs (such as oversized gardens and billiard tables) and fast, frantic gameplay. The sequel provides more of the same, but with more then a few additions and twists of its own; there are now more modes to play with, varying vehicle types that handle differently from each other and are tailored to the enviroment they’re used in, and support for up to eight players thanks to the inclusion of two additional controller ports on the cart itself and an innovative "pad sharing" feature built into the game.
